AIMS Offices' Locations

AIMS has six regional offices in Afghanistan; Central, Western, Northern, North Eastern, Eastern and Southern region. All these offices are located with in UNAMA (United Nation Assistance Mission for Afghanistan) regional Offices Compound.

Central regional office is located in Kabul (AIMS head office on Salang Watt), having different activity structure than other four regional offices. Though it is supporting regional activities for five provinces; Kabul, Logar, Wardak, Parwan and Kapisa provinces.

Western regional office is located in Hirat, one of the historical cities of Afghanistan sharing international boundary with Iran and Turkmenistan. Western regional office covers four provinces of the country; Hirat (in west), Badghis (in north), Farah (in south-west) and Changcharan (in south east).

 
AIMS eastern regional office is located in Jalalabad city; the valley of Hindukush mountain range and bordering with Pakistan on the east. It covers four provinces of Afghanistan; Nangarhar, Nuristan, Laghman and Kunar provinces.

 
Regional office of AIMS is located in Kandahar city for southern region, bordering with Iran in west and Pakistan in the south. AIMS supports five provinces in south; Kandahar, Nimroz, Hilmand, Uruzgan and Zabul.

 
The northeastern regional office of AIMS is located in Kunduz city, bordering with Tajikistan, China and Pakistan. Four northeastern provinces receives support from this regional office, they are Badakshan, Takhar, Baglan and Kunduz.

 
AIMS northern regional office is in Mazar-e-sharif city, having the famous blue mosque of (Haz. Ali R.A. Rawza Sharif) Afghanistan, that shares the northern boundary with Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Regional office supports Saripul, Faryab, Jawzjan, Balk, Samangan the five northern provinces of the country.
